What Is Ringside Focus?
Ringside Focus is the sports and event photography side of Michelle Walston Photography, created to showcase the fast-paced, high-energy moments that happen outside of my traditional wedding and portrait work.
With 15 years of experience behind the camera, I’ve always loved documenting real moments as they happen. Ringside Focus gives me a dedicated space for the louder, faster, grittier side of photography — where timing, anticipation, and storytelling matter.
My work under Ringside Focus includes professional wrestling, roller derby, music festivals, live events, and political and media coverage. Most recently, I had the opportunity to step into political event photography for the first time, adding a completely new kind of experience to my portfolio.
Whether I’m ringside waiting for the perfect action shot, trackside capturing the intensity of roller derby, documenting the energy of a music festival, or photographing moments of political history, my goal is the same: capture the moments that make you feel like you were there.
